RHONDA JOHNSON
CSF BOARD MEMBER

I was born in Missoula and attended Missoula schools, when Missoula was much smaller! Teepee burners that were part of the timber industry still operated and the fairgrounds were “south of town”.
My husband and I moved to Hamilton in 1975 to operate a flower shop, and after it’s closure, we were employed by various Bitterroot employers, as we raised our family of three kids.
We moved to the Corvallis School District in 1987, where all three kids attended and graduated.  As I volunteered in classrooms and chaperoned field trips, my admiration and respect for the important roll that public education plays in this country grew.
In 1997, I was hired as a high school secretary in Corvallis. I just retired from that position in June, 2020. I was privileged to meet students, parents and employees of the district and was impressed with energy, education and imagination that this district generates to get students of the Corvallis School District what they need to become contributing citizen of our world.
I have only served on the Corvallis Schools Foundation less that a year. Being part of an organization that supports the staff and students of CSD is very gratifying.
